Water Heaters

Water heater tanks and tank-heating units for use with steam, boiler water, or electric heating sources.

Water Heaters

Wendland’s water heater tanks are used for the storage and heating of water. We can furnish tank-heating units for use with steam, boiler water, or electricity as the heating source. Due to our wide selection of tank capacities for storage and the availability of tank heating units, the proper water heater tank can be fabricated for a more economical operation to meet peak and normal operating demands for special job requirements.

For proper sizing and selection of your water heater tank, we suggest using ASHRAE’s latest guide and data book with the tank heating unit catalog.

The outline drawings we have provided here are for customer convenience and are intended as a guide only. We will custom fabricate each vessel to your requirements. We can fabricate the vessels per A.S.M.E. code with stamp or as a Wendland standard pressure tank.

As hot water can be corrosive, we recommend these tanks be internally lined for extended tank life. For interior linings, Wendland recommends Epoxoline or Cementline. Refer to the lining section of our catalog for other available linings. We also require that these tanks be installed using dielectric bushings to aid in corrosion prevention.

Wendland Manufacturing can assist you in writing specifications for your particular water heater requirements.

GENERAL NOTES

  • If centerline of vessel is on girth seam, openings will be offset 6".
  • See accessory details for alternate supports.
  • Manway is not required on tanks 36” or less unless lined. Inspection couplings will be installed if manway is not required.
  • Vertical legs dimension can be changed as required.
  • See Engineer Specification W-200 for a written specification for this tank.
