Tanks designed to reduce the temperature and pressure of a boiler’s blowdown discharge.
Our blowdown tanks are fabricated with 3/8” thick heads and shell and are inspected and stamped in accordance with the latest ASME code specifications, under Section VIII, Division 1 for 150 psi design pressure at 300° F. They are also registered with the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors.
Each tank includes an internal wear plate, an inlet connection, an outlet connection with internal ell and pipe, a vent connection, a cold water inlet connection, and other connections as shown on our standard drawing.
Each tank also includes a 4″ x 6″ handhole or a 12″ x 16″ manway depending on the size of the tank. If the governing authority requires changes, Wendland can fabricate the custom-designed vessel to your requirements.
Tank exteriors are painted with one coat of our standard shop primer.
