Tanks intended for flashing high-pressure condensate into steam or cooling low-pressure steam.
Our flash tanks are intended for flashing high-pressure condensate into steam. They can also be used for cooling low-pressure steam prior to return to the boiler or condensate receiver, or for discharge into the sewer.
The flash tank drawings in this manual are our standards. We can custom-fabricate each vessel to your exact requirements. We offer, at customer option, an inlet spray pipe. The area of the drilled holes in the spray pipe will be equal to the cross-sectional area of the pipe.
The flash tank exterior will be power wire-brushed and painted with one coat of standard shop primer. Galvanized tanks are available at customer option. Tanks larger than 36″ diameter will require a manway to meet A.S.M.E. code specifications. Wendland Manufacturing Corporation will make every effort to assist you in formulating and writing specifications for your flash tank requirements.
